Mike Jacobs

From a very young age I've always known I wanted to be a Disc Jockey. I can remember when I was at 8 years old , all I wanted for my Birthday was a Mr. Microphone.

As I was growing up , listening to the radio was a constant for me. WKBW, WGR55, WBEN in the 70's. As I grew into my teenage years I was glued to the FM dial for hours tuned into ROCK 102, WPHD & WNYS.

In high school at Frontier Central , I was the morning announcer reciting the Pledge of Allegiance & was president of the Broadcasting Club, and DJ'd a daily in house radio show for my fellow students. In 11th grade I was proud to be accepted into a HS internship program with WECK.

My first real DJ job was at Hamburg Roller Rink. As I started my career it brought me to many places, DJ'ing weddings, night clubs & parties. In 1996 I was fortunate to land my first radio position at WSPQ in Springville. From there my career brought me to many powerhouse stations in Buffalo-KISS 98.5, WKBW, WYRK, WEDG, and WHTT.

It is truly an honor to be on Buffalo's Very Own WECK, giving back to the community with great music, information & personality.
