New Horizon Music

NEW HORIZONS MUSIC LAUNCHES A NEW GROUP FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Now launching the New Horizons Music Ensemble, an innovative program designed to give seniors the chance they missed in youth to develop their musical skills. To kick off the program, on Sept. 26 and Oct. 10, 2019, seniors will have the opportunity to bring their instruments to make music and friendships with other local musicians. Anyone over 50 years of age are invited. Recent studies have determined that adults over age 50 are the fastest growing segment of the population. New Horizon Music programs embrace this expanding group of Americans, offering an activity that seniors can easily adapt to fit their needs. The New Horizons restores intellectual stimulation and opportunity that members had previously relied upon the workplace to provide. In fact, some fantastic relationships have been formed. Charley and Rita Rose, both 80 years old, met while performing with the Rochester ensemble and soon after they were married.
