The legend says the first wings that we'd recogize today were served up early on a Lenten Saturday at Main Street's Anchor Bar in 1964. 

Five decades later, it's such a draw for people coming to Western New York, the folks at Visit Buffalo Niagara have created the Buffalo Wing Trail.
